CKAPS, pronounced “See-CAPS”, stands for Cawangan Kawalan Amalan Perubatan Swasta, a branch under the Ministry of Health Malaysia. CKAPS is responsible for regulating private healthcare facilities and services under the Private Healthcare Facilities and Services Act 1998 [Act 586].
Its key functions include the registration and licensing of private healthcare facilities, monitoring compliance with the Act and Regulations, providing facility data for policy development and public reference, and handling complaints related to private healthcare services. Through its regulatory role, CKAPS supports the delivery of safe, quality and professional private healthcare services for the benefit of the public and national interest.
