Professor Dr Chong Mian Yoon is a clinician, a researcher, an academician and experienced hospital administrator. He received his medical degree (MD) at
Kaohsiung Medical University, Taiwan in 1981, and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in medicine at the King’s College Institute of Psychiatry, University of London, UK in
1993. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (FRCPsych), UK, and is currently acting as a consultant psychiatrist at the Regency Specialist Hospital, Johor, and the Chief Medical Advisor of the HMI Medical, Singapore. He was the Professor of Psychiatry at Chang Gung University and vice-superintendent of 3 leading university-affiliated teaching hospitals in Taiwan; past-president of the Pacific Rim College of Psychiatrists (2018-2021) and the Taiwan Academy of Psychiatric Epidemiology (2018-2024). With his extensive experience, he is deeply involved and strategized the development of SMART projects for HMI-affiliated hospitals (Mahkota Medical Centre & Regency Specialist Hospital) in Malaysia.
