Dr. Izmi is a Consultant Rehabilitation Physician and currently serves at IHT Rehabilitation Centre, Selangor. He attained his MBBS from the University of Adelaide and Masters in Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Malaya. He is also a Certified Medical Impairment Assessor (CMIA- NIOSH Malaysia) and a Certified Independent Medical Examiner (CIME-USA). He previously served as the Head of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Hospital Pulau Pinang (2009-2020) and later as the Head of Spinal Rehabilitation Services at Hospital Rehabilitasi Cheras (2020-2025). He is actively involved in research, medical education, medico-legal cases and professional organizations at both national and international levels and had received several prestigious awards, including multiple Excellent Service Awards and the Penang State Excellence Award.
