Eric Woo is the Vice President of ECRI, Asia Pacific regional office. He is responsible for the development and operational management of ECRI in this region. He has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, having learnt and built various business for medical device organizations in Asia Pacific, managing private hospitals, and research involvement in Stem Cells for regenerative medicine. In his experience with medical device organizations, he was involved in the development of new surgical techniques with innovative devices, surgical training such as cadaveric workshop, organization development and management in Asia Pacific. His notable contribution as the Chief Operating Officer in a private specialized sports hospital includes development and implementation of hospital best practice, development of a new radiology department and development of a R&D center in stem cell research for musculoskeletal treatment. In recent years, Eric has provided regional training and presentations related to adverse event investigations particularly on Health IT, Healthcare Risk Management, Patient Safety Concerns and Technology Management to various groups such as healthcare authorities and regulators, hospitals, associations and conferences in Asia Pacific. He brings with him a wealth of skills, knowledge and experience of medical technology, hospital operations, and strategic organization development and management. Eric is a certified trainer and has completed the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, TAE40110, a recognized teaching and assessment credential in the National Standards for Registered Training Organizations, Australia. He is also certified trainer with the Malaysian HRDF (Human Resource Development Fund) Train the Trainer Program and Certified in Healthcare Risk Management (CHRM) from CAHO.
