Current Responsibilities
Christine leads the Claims and Risk Advisory department under the MEDEFEND Medical Indemnity Scheme (under FINPRO Healthcare, Marsh Specialty) comprising former legal practitioners and a financial analyst. She plays a pivotal role in managing medical practitioners notifying of potential claims and issues arising from their practice; with regular liaison with solicitors and insurers.
She is often invited to participate in speaking engagements. She regularly presents at medical conferences and at hospitals.
Experience
Christine was a former practicing lawyer at a commercial law firm practicing pre-dominantly in the area of medico-legal. She has previously represented medical practitioners at all levels of the Court and before the Malaysian Medical Council.
In 2018, Christine took a career pause to raise her daughter. In September 2020, she rejoined the workforce employing her previous legal knowledge and skills in representing medical practitioners.
Christine’s expertise in professional liability claims, along with her strategic thinking, allows her to recognize potential problems early and develop proactive, innovative solutions. Her careful and thorough approach to claims management helps reduce risks while also building greater client trust and satisfaction. As a leader in Marsh, Christine promotes a culture of ongoing improvement, encouraging her team to ensure strict adherence to standards and delivering timely and innovative resolutions.

• Barrister-at-law, Lincoln’s Inn (admitted to the Bar of England and Wales in 2011)
• Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya (admitted to the Malaysian Bar 2012)
